More driving, more coastline. This time the West coast of Scotland and the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland.
Skye
After really enjoying the Scotland NC500 trip we decided to go back but concentrate more on the West coast and the Isle of Skye. This was 2025 and we had a grey 911. Once again, the trip went really well and the weather was pretty kind to us. Scenery was spectacular and there was loads to see and do.

Ireland
Which brings us to 2026 and we are back in an F-Type. Ireland has an amazing West coast which is promoted as the Wild Atlantic Way. We had a week and rather than try to drive the whole coast we started half way up at Galway and drove North. The wild coastal scenery was very much on a par with what we have seen in Scotland. The food we enjoyed was probably better. The weather was more what’s expected, rain showers and sun. What was lacking a bit was touristy stop offs. Lots of wide open beaches and sweeping coastal views. That said the old Marconi radio station which was also the site where Alcock and Brown landed after crossing the Atlantic, was well worth a visit.
